Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policies
For one-day activities:
The rates posted on the website are only valid at the time of booking and are guaranteed upon receipt of the corresponding payment. All bookings are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed until full payment has been received. A booking is considered complete when we provide confirmation by email and the appropriate full payment has been applied. Payment is only made through bank transfer or PayWay and, by confirming it, you expressly acknowledge and accept our booking, payment, disclaimer and cancellation policies.
For travel packages:
To book a complete trip, the traveler is required to make an initial payment of 40% of the total amount resulting from the chosen itinerary when confirming the trip. The remaining balance, 60%, can be paid in installments, but must be completed at least 15 days before the departure date.
Payment Method:
We accept bank transfer, ABA or PayWay as payment methods for our services. If you wish to use another payment method (only for one-day activities), you can book through Viator, Getyourguide or other tour sales companies if they have availability at that time. The price could be higher due to their service fees and they may not have tours available at the time of your booking. We are the ones who grant them the option to book tours on their platform, depending on our workload.
The final price is given in Khmer Riels and will be converted to your currency through the ABA or PayWay platform according to the exchange rate in effect on the date of the transaction. This conversion may cause the amount that appears on your credit card statement to vary by up to 5% below or above the international fluctuation of foreign exchange rates. SAHAKA – Travel & Tours is not responsible for this fluctuation and by accepting this policy, you acknowledge having been informed about this fluctuation in the exchange rate and agree with it.
Cancellation Policies of Services:
For one-day activities:
Cancellations and refunds with a cancellation notice 15 days before the service will have a charge of 20% of the total.
Cancellations and refunds with a cancellation notice 10 days before the service will have a charge of 50% of the total.
Cancellations and refunds with a cancellation notice less than 10 days before the service will have a charge of 70% of the total.
No refund will be made in case of notices less than 48 hours before the activity or if the service was not used and/or the tour was missed due to not showing up at the indicated time.
For travel packages:
Ferry services, internal flights and accommodations are not allowing cancellations (although some hotels may accept date changes if notified in time). Therefore, we suggest hiring cancellation insurance, which is not included in our budget. SAHAKA – Travel & Tours will always act in good faith to obtain the maximum possible return or date modification in favor of the tourist.
For the rest of the services, the cancellation costs would be as follows:
50% if the cancellation is made more than 15 days in advance of the departure
75% if the cancellation is made between 15 days prior to departure
100% if the cancellation is made 10 days or less in advance of the departure
During the trip, SAHAKA – Travel & Tours will always be aware that everything is running smoothly and will provide the best solutions to any unforeseen events that may arise.
At SAHAKA – Travel & Tours, we understand that circumstances may arise that require our clients to cancel their services. However, it is important to note that there are certain factors beyond our control that may prevent us from attending to cancellation requests or issuing refunds. We kindly ask you to read and understand our cancellation policy detailed below.
Non-refundable services:
Some of our services may be considered non-refundable. This means that once the service has been booked and payment has been made, we cannot issue a refund regardless of the circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Unforeseen Events:
In situations where cancellations are requested due to events beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes), political unrest, or other force majeure events, we regret to inform you that we cannot provide a refund. These events are unpredictable and beyond the scope of our responsibility. We will always be by your side to seek the best possible alternatives.
How to make a cancellation:
If you wish to cancel a service, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible. Depending on the nature of the service and the timing of the cancellation, we may be able to offer alternative options or change dates for future use. However, please note that this is subject to our discretion and availability.
Changes in plans:
In case you need to modify or reschedule a service, we will do our best to attend to your request, subject to availability. However, please note that any changes made may be subject to additional charges.
Cancellation Information Policy:
We only handle cancellations by email, replying to the emails previously sent for the booking. We do not accept cancellations through chat, Messenger, WhatsApp, phone, or other means of contact. In case of a refund, we process it through PayWay within 24 hours from the confirmation of the cancellation.
Returns payment processing
Banks usually issue refunds within 7 to 10 days for transactions.
Every cancellation has a 10% commission for service charges.
